The mission of the Otter Creek Natural Resources Conservation District is threefold:
- To enhance conservation awareness in all citizens while recognizing that the working landscape is a social structure of individuals and entities in business, seeking conservation solutions inclusive of all farming technologies.
- To ensure the enhancement of Addison County farms, businesses, residences, woodland, and natural resources.
- To provide leadership for conservation issues in the county to identify local natural resource needs and to find funding and expertise to address those needs.
The Otter Creek NRCD Long Range Plan was revised in 2015.
